Aerospace Problem Solving

A large aerospace company sought our assistance with developing landing gear hydraulic lines for a new military aircraft. The specifications called for welded fittings for each tube end connection. Automotive Applications

One of the premier automotive aftermarket exhaust companies in North America approached us with a 3.0” O.D. x 0.065” Wall stainless steel S-shaped tube that was currently made from two 45 degree bent tubes and welded together. We developed a compound bend process to make the part out of one piece instead of two, which saved the customer money by eliminating nearly one foot of weld.

Nuclear Coil Assembly Solutions

We were asked to make a highly specialized coil assembly for a nuclear material testing apparatus. The design consisted of 0.25” O.D. material to be coiled to 3.0” diameter with a tolerance of +/- 0.0075”. We modified current production equipment with specialized components, developed unique tooling to control the part throughout fabrication, and tuned the process to surpass customer requirements by achieving a tolerance envelope of +/- 0.0045”. The customer was very satisfied. We produced the entire production lot with zero defects or rejections.
